Pak® Depth Filter Modules
Details
ErtelAlsop Pak® depth filter modules are available in a variety of configurations and options. Depth filter modules are manufactured in 12" (30,5cm) or 16" (40,6cm) diameter and contain from 5 to 18 stacked filter cells. A Pak® depth filter module consists of a varying number of filter cells. Each filter cell consists of a pair of MicroMedia®, AlphaMedia® or MicroClear® depth filter sheets, with the edges of each pair sealed by a patented process using polypropylene. The assembled unit resembles a stack of double convex lenses, hence the term 'lenticular'.
The Bio-Pak® depth filter module was the first double O-ring depth filter element manufactured in the USA. Designed specifically for use in critical applications, this depth filter module offers the highest level of safety as there is no bypass on the sealing surfaces of the depth filter module.
The Bio-Pak® depth filter module for the pharmaceutical market offers high flow rate, positive electrical charge, and excellent ultra-fine particle retention. From downstream processing of biopharmaceuticals and blood fractionation to CHO or E. coli filtration and various intermediates, Bio-Pak® depth filter cartridges deliver the results your application requires.
The original depth module filter, the Disc-Pak®, is specifically designed for the filtration of light to medium viscosity liquids. From applications such as lubricating oils, dielectric oils and coolants to syrups, beverages and perfumes, ErtelAlsop's Disc-Pak® with 100% cellulose AlphaMedia™ can be used where particle retention is the primary purpose of filtration. Disc-Pak® depth filter modules are available in a range of grades to provide retention down to 1µm.
