Activated carbon is a form of carbon that has been treated to create millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms, resulting in an increased surface area.
This surface area of activated carbon makes the material suitable for adsorption, a process by which impurities are removed from liquids.
The most common application is decolorization and cleaning in the API area (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient).
ErtelAlsop can choose from a variety of different activated carbons. If customer requests, the use of a specified type is also possible.
