About Us
Providing customized filtration and separation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies together with scientific support for our customers is an essential part of vipur. It is our inner guiding principles that motivate and inspire us every day.
History
2019 was the beginning of vipur GmbH - of vienna purification, a company with the aim of passing on the knowledge I have acquired over more than 25 years in filtration technology in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to customers in a highly serviced and professional manner.
I, Wolfgang Steindl-Kratochvil, founded a start-up as managing director in a basement office and after a few months moved to Mariahilfer Strasse 113/18 with a desk, two office boxes and our family sofa.

What Makes Us Unique
Our vipur history may seem short now, but we bring a lot of experience and knowledge of filtration technologies in the plasma, pharmaceutical and biotech industry to the company. After all this time and success in the filtration industry, I know the needs of plasma, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and their requirements for the future.
As Managing Director of vipur, I am convinced that flexible and experienced local support combined with marketing, scientific know-how is the best way to ensure long-term and consistent production success for our customers.
Unsere vipur Geschichte mag im Moment noch kurz erscheinen, doch bringen wir sehr viel an Erfahrungen und Wissen über Filtrationstechnologien in der Pharma- und Biotechbranche mit in das Unternehmen hinein. Nach all der Zeit und den Erfolgen in der Filtrationsbranche kenne ich die Bedürfnisse der Pharma- und Biotechunternehmen und ihre Anforderungen an die Zukunft.

vipur deals intensively with the topic of filtration and separation technology. There are many buzzwords such as depth filters, membrane filters and virus filters, to name but a few. These are all terms that are often used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and whose benefits we know very well. However, with this knowledge of filter applications, we are absolutely in a small niche. Hardly anyone is aware of the necessity of the various filtration and separation technologies in different industries. Many products in global medical care would not be usable if filtration processes were not used in research, development and ultimately in production. This also applies to the food sector and the most diverse branches of industry. There are numerous exciting and interesting topics in the world of filtration that are worth explaining.
Making connections comprehensible for a better understanding - this is also a concern of the vipur team.

Sustainability must not just be a topic for discussion but must be actively practiced - and we at vipur do this every day, because every single contribution counts. For us, "living sustainability" starts with the selection of our company headquarters and the design of our office space. At the same time, we - as vipur employees - want to do justice to our social skills and demonstrate them tangibly to the outside world.
Accessibility was very important to me - as managing director - when choosing the company headquarters. Good accessibility means quick public transport connections for people both inside and outside Vienna and Austria. Our vipur office is in the heart of the city and is in the immediate vicinity of Vienna's Westbahnhof train station and the subway network.
Another great desire of mine is to incorporate active movement into everyday life for my employees, clients, and myself. I am a passionate mountain biker and have been cycling to work for many years. If employees or customers want to come to vipur by bike, this is of course possible, as our generously designed office offers enough space to park the bike safely.
Let's use these climate-neutral routes for our environment and our health.
Education is a must when it comes to sustainability. Education and the exchange of ideas are the key to personal development. It is our task to pass on acquired knowledge and the resulting experience to the next generation. As Managing Director of vipur, I enjoy supporting students with their master's thesis on the diverse topics of filtration and separation. I also give lectures at the university and carry out filtration experiments together with students. Creating a protected space for knowledge exchange and research is a central theme of vipur's sustainability.
Unfortunately, however, there are people in our society who are not doing so well for a variety of reasons, people who need our help in coping with their everyday lives. We at vipur actively try to help these people with our social projects. For example, we are an annual sponsor from Lions Club St. Pölten for the benefit of needy families in Austria.
Access to education, the transfer of knowledge and support for people in emergency situations should be an integral part of society.
A healthy body is important - which is why our ergonomic workstations meet all the requirements for our well-being at work. The offices are bright and friendly, and our offices look out onto a beautiful green courtyard. We also try to actively shape the topic of sustainability in many other areas of everyday office life - every little contribution counts.
We pay attention to the packaging material for shipments, like to deliver our parcels by bike in good weather, avoid unnecessary printouts, collect the coffee brew for our plants and bring fresh fruits and vegetables from the Viennese gardeners or from our own garden to the office - small contributions that are easy to implement and make a big difference overall.
Thanks to the central vipur office, professional and private errands can easily be done without a car. Regional and sustainable shopping is easy to achieve, as the area is home to many small bakeries, grocery stores and young start-ups with interesting concepts. It is fun and inspiring to support these companies with our purchases.
Making the workplace pleasant and ergonomic and consciously choosing to act in a healthy and sustainable manner in everyday life – all in all, this is also a contribution to the environment and our future.
